This is a book of Shakespeare’s Complete Works. It belongs to me. It used to belong to Clifford Simpson. My grandpa. I’m told he used to read from it. To my grandma. In bed.
How flaming romantic.
Just bought the complete works of Shakespeare for £2 in a charity shop.
“Julius Caesar,” by William Shakespeare
Shakespeare’s Incomplete Works. Sadly, I only have 3 of the 4 volumes of this 19th century edition of Shakespeare (in the classic German translation by Schlegel and others). The edition doesn’t have a date, but the publishing company founded and run by Eduard Hallberger only existed from 1848 to 1881 - it became the shareholders company Deutsche Verlagsanstalt (DVA) after his death.
